Warranties & Guarantees
For your peace of mind, we stand behind the quality of our jewellery with our 12-month Workmanship Guarantee, in addition to your statutory rights under applicable Consumer Law.
In addition to your rights under any applicable Consumer Law, we will remedy any manufacturing fault or defect for a period of 12 months after the date of purchase. Should we discover any defect or manufacturing fault, we will repair or replace the piece free of charge. This Guarantee does not cover accidental damage, wear and tear or unreasonable treatment.
Conditions
1. The 12-month Workmanship Gurantee covers the quality of materials and workmanship used in crafting your new piece of jewellery.
2. The 12-month Workmanship Guarantee does not cover accidental damage, unreasonable wear and tear, misuse or abuse. A repair cost will apply if there are obvious signs of these circumstances. Secrets by Amaar shall be responsible for determining in its sole discretion, acting reasonably, which items may be excluded from the Guarantee.
3. Some examples of common jewellery issues that would not be considered manufacturing defects include:
a .The discolouration of precious metals caused by chemicals, makeup, immersion in pools and spas, and bathing.
b. Precious metals and claws or prongs worn down over time due to wear that may require rebuilding or restoration work as part of normal wear or damage.
4. Claws or prongs catching on clothing, wearing out, or bending over time due to everyday wear or damage, allowing a stone to fall out.
5. A fine chain breakage due to being caught, pulled, or accidentally damaged beyond the normal expected strength of the chain.
6. Shanks or bands of rings bent out of shape due to undue pressure, accidental damage, physical activity or unreasonable treatment.
7. Settings or heads of rings bent or broken due to force, unreasonable wear, or accidental damage.
8. Lost butterfly backs on earrings, bent or damaged posts.
If, at any time in the future, you would like a more sustainable way to refresh your jewellery, our team can guide you through the circularity options available both in-store and online.
You may be eligible to up-cycle your lab-grown simulant jewellery piece to an equivalent design and receive 30% off your new item. Alternatively, you can upgrade to a piece from our Premium Certified Lab-Grown Diamond Collection and receive 20% off your new item (excluding applicable taxes).
Please note, our Circularity option does not apply to items purchased on sale or at a discounted price.
Conditions
1. Original jewellery and proof of purchase are required to complete a Circularity transaction.
2. All items purchased under our Circularity option are covered by our 12-month Workmanship Guarantee, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
3. All items purchased under the Circularity Guarantee are covered by a 12-month workmanship guarantee, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
4. Our Circularity option only applies to Secrets by Amaar jewellery. All items being up-cycled must be surrendered at the time of transaction, along with proof of purchase.
5. Our Circularity option applies to items purchased at full retail price only. Items purchased on promotion or sale are not eligible
We want you to always love your jewellery so we offer you our Secrets by Amaar Jewellery Care Plan, to help keep your jewellery looking beautiful and last for years to come.
Our Plans are available in five (5) or ten (10) years offering additional service coverage beyond standard consumer guarantees. Please note that our Jewellery Care Plan:
- Is not an extended warranty
- Is linked to a specific product and cannot be transferred
- It does not replace your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Services provided under our Jewellery Care Plan include:
- Ring sizing (up to 2 sizes, maximum once every 12 months from the first anniversary of the purchase date)
- Unlimited jewellery cleaning and inspections
- Polishing and refinishing
- Rhodium plating white gold
- Stone tightening
- Earring repairs: tightening or adjusting fittings, posts and butterflies
- Chain and bracelet soldering
- Clasp tightening, adjustment, repair or replacement
- Re-setting gemstones
- Tennis bracelet soldering, clasp tightening and adjustment including removing links
We recommend you bring your jewellery into a store every 6 months, for a clean and inspection. Simply call into one of our stores next time you are shopping and let us know your membership number, then we will take care of the rest.
